Aman at sea

Aman didn't just build a yacht; they captured the silence of the desert and set it adrift. Launching in Spring 2027, Amangati—Sanskrit for 'peaceful motion'—is a minimalist masterpiece that trades the noise of the world for the rhythm of the tide. With only 47 suites, it’s not a cruise; it’s a private residence that happens to move. It’s not about where you’re going; it’s about finally arriving at a sanctuary that feels like it was designed just for you to forget everything else.

  • Amangati operates on a model of absolute transparency, where the complexity of travel is removed to leave only the experience.

Here is the breakdown of what is included in the voyage fare:

    Accommodations & Service

    • All-Suite Living: A private sanctuary with 2.3-meter ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an expansive personal terrace.

    • Dedicated Suite Host: On-demand, intuitive service to handle everything from unpacking to personalized requests.

    • Laundry Service: Daily pressing and laundry included to ensure your wardrobe remains effortless.

    • Intuitive Technology: High-speed Starlink Wi-Fi and seamless in-suite systems.

    The Culinary Journey

    • Open Dining: All meals at Alira, the open-air Mediterranean venue, as well as daily in-suite breakfast.

    • Beverages: All non-alcoholic drinks and beer, including a suite beverage center tailored to your preferences.

    • Savoring the Moment: Casual refreshments at the Gelato Bar and social lounges throughout the yacht.

    Wellness & Leisure

    • Onboard Culture: Private screenings in the Cinema and access to the curated Boutique and Gallery.

    • Youth Lounge: Dedicated, designed spaces for younger guests to find their own rhythm.

    The Marina & Water

    • Selora Marina: Direct sea access via twin marina platforms, featuring two extendable wings that bring you closer to the water.

    • Water Toys: Use of the yacht's collection of water toys for exploration and play.

    • Gratuities: All onboard service charges are fully included.

  • Aman doesn’t believe in crowds, and their fleet reflects it. Currently, the story begins with one: Amangati. It’s a 180-meter sanctuary designed to hold the horizon, not a thousand passengers. With a crew of 207 dedicated to just 94 guests, the only thing you'll find in abundance is space.

Here is the breakdown of the 47 suites that make up the private world of Amangati:

    • The Aman Suite: The pinnacle of the vessel, located at the stern of Deck 5. It is a 1,972-square-foot residence featuring a private lift, a professional chef’s kitchen, a private sauna, and a spa treatment room.

    • Grand Suite: Two bow-facing sanctuaries on Deck 6. At 884 square feet, these suites are designed with total symmetry to frame the forward view as you move through the water.

    • Signature Suite: 18 midship suites spread across Decks 5, 6, and 7. These 714 to 735-square-foot spaces are positioned to capture the best of the light and the sea's rhythm.

    • Premier Suite: 12 suites located on Decks 5, 6, and 7. Spanning approximately 620 square feet, they offer a flow-through design and can be connected to create multi-bedroom configurations for those traveling together.

    • Deluxe Suite: 14 suites on Decks 5, 6, and 7. Ranging from 532 to 560 square feet, they provide a minimalist, "ryokan-style" escape with full-height windows and private teak terraces.

    • Host Suites: An additional 10 suites on Deck 4, specifically designed for guests who travel with their own security or service support.

  • In the world of high-end yachting, we are moving away from "floating hotels" and toward "private residences that move." Each of these four brands targets a different soul. Here is how I see them stacking up against Aman at Sea.

    1. Aman at Sea vs. The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection (RCYC)

    • The Difference: RCYC is about the "Ritz-Carlton lifestyle" scaled to the sea. It’s vibrant, social, and carries the familiar polish of their land-based hotels.

    • The Aman Edge: While RCYC yachts (like Evrima) host around 298 guests, Amangati hosts only 94. It is significantly more intimate. Aman isn’t a "yacht collection"; it’s a sanctuary. The staff-to-guest ratio is almost 2:1, which is unheard of even in this category. It’s for the client who finds the Ritz a bit too "busy."

    2. Aman at Sea vs. Four Seasons Yacht

    • The Difference: Four Seasons is going for "grandeur." Their yacht is massive, featuring the "Funnel Suite" and a focus on being the biggest, most luxurious thing in the harbor.

    • The Aman Edge: Aman goes the opposite direction—minimalism. Amangati is inspired by a Japanese ryokan. It’s about "peaceful motion" (Amangati) and quiet discretion. While Four Seasons is a statement, Aman is a secret.

    3. Aman at Sea vs. Orient Express Sailing Yachts

    • The Difference: Orient Express is pure French art de vivre—glamour, history, and the romance of the sail. It’s cinematic and high-energy.

    • The Aman Edge: Orient Express is about the voyage and the theater of it all. Aman is about the stillness. Aman at Sea is designed as an extension of their remote land retreats—low-profile, high-design, and deeply focused on wellness (like the Japanese serenity garden on Deck 7).

  • Aman at Sea is defined by a "refined calm." It’s an environment that values substance over performance, where the dress code mirrors the minimalist, high-end design of the yacht itself.

    • Daytime: The mood is effortlessly relaxed. With the Selora Marina serving as the center of gravity, a "barefoot" lifestyle is encouraged as you move between the sea and the deck.

    • Evening: As you transition to dinner at Akari or the Aman Grill, the atmosphere becomes more sophisticated and moody. This is the time for resort-elegant attire—clean lines and understated quality that feel in harmony with the architecture.

  • Complimentary Dining & Inclusions

The "standard" at Aman is intentionally set very high, ensuring the essentials of a high-end lifestyle are covered from the start.

    • Alira (Deck 6): The social heart of the yacht, offering an effortlessly relaxed Mediterranean experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

    • In-Suite Dining: A 24-hour service for refined classics or destination-inspired dishes, allowing you to dine on your private terrace whenever the mood strikes.

    • Gelato Bar: Ice-cold, artisanal refreshments available throughout the day.

    • Daily In-Suite Breakfast: Served upon request for those who prefer to start the day in total privacy.

    • Beverages: All non-alcoholic drinks and beer are included, along with a personalized suite beverage center restocked to your preferences.

    Specialty Dining (Additional Fee)

For moments that require a deeper level of artistry or a more intimate atmosphere, these specialty venues offer an elevated experience:

    • Akari (Deck 7): Aman’s signature Japanese washoku concept. It features a ten-seat omakase counter for bespoke chef-led tasting menus and a dedicated Sake Bar with artisanal pours.

    • Hiori (Deck 7): An energetic teppanyaki experience where master craftsmen prepare wagyu and seasonal seafood with practiced theater.

    • Aman Grill (Deck 4): A moody, sophisticated space dedicated to the art of cooking by fire, specializing in prime aged meats and whole fish over open flames.

    • The Private Dining Room: A discreet venue framed by a walk-in wine cellar, perfect for guided wine tastings or exclusive celebrations.

    • Alcoholic Beverages: Fine wines, rare spirits, and cocktails (beyond the included beer) are billed separately.

  • Aman has always viewed family travel through the lens of connection, and Amangati is designed to be a sanctuary for all generations. Children are not just allowed; they are welcomed into the Aman family with dedicated spaces and services.

Here is what you can expect for younger guests:

    • The Youth Lounge: Located on Deck 4, this is a dedicated, state-of-the-art space designed for younger guests to find their own rhythm and engage in curated activities.

    • Onboard Entertainment: Beyond the lounge, children have access to the Cinema for private screenings and a variety of enrichment programming tailored to different age groups.

    • The "Elemental Playground": The twin sea-level marina platforms and the Selora Marina provide direct access to the water for supervised exploration with a collection of water toys.

    • Family Accommodations: For larger families or those traveling with support staff, 17 of the 47 suites are interconnecting, allowing for two- or three-bedroom configurations. Additionally, there are ten Host Suites on Deck 4 available for private security or childcare personnel.

  • Accommodations & Personalized Service

    • Dedicated Suite Host: On-demand assistance to handle everything from personalized requests to your daily itinerary.

    • Unpacking & Packing Service: Allowing you to transition seamlessly from land to sea without touching a suitcase.

    • Laundry & Pressing: Daily professional care for your wardrobe is included in your fare.

    • Twice-Daily Housekeeping: Including personalized evening turndown rituals to set the mood for the night.

    Culinary Experiences & Social Spaces

    • Limitless Dining at Alira: The open-air Mediterranean restaurant on Deck 6 is included for all meals.

    • Specialty Dining (Additional Fee): Signature venues including Aman Grill (open-flame cooking), Akari(Japanese washoku), and Hiori (teppanyaki) are available for an extra charge.

    • In-Suite Breakfast: Served daily upon request on your private terrace at no extra cost.

    • Beverages: All non-alcoholic drinks and beer are included, along with a personalized suite beverage center.. Fine wines, cocktails, and rare spirits are available for an additional fee.

    • Gelato Bar: Artisanal ice-cold refreshments available throughout the day.

    Wellness, Culture & Play

    • Aman Spa & Fitness Studio: Access to the state-of-the-art Fitness Studio is included.. Spa treatments, including Medi Spa and Beauty Lounge rituals, come with an additional fee.

    • The Marina & Water Toys: Direct sea access via the twin platforms and use of water toys are part of the inclusive experience.

    • Cinema & Entertainment: Access to the onboard cinema for private screenings and cultural enrichment programming is included.

    • Youth Lounge: A dedicated space for younger guests to engage in curated activities.

    • Connectivity: Unlimited high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi throughout the yacht.

    Off-Yacht Experiences

    • Bespoke Shoreside Discovery: While the staff-to-guest ratio ensures personalized care, Optional Shoreside Experiences and cultural tours are available for an additional fee.

    • Private Transfers: Helicopter and limousine tender arrivals are available to be arranged, though these and any pre- or post-departure hotel stays come with an extra charge.

  • Here is the breakdown of the entry-level and flagship rates for the 2027 inaugural season:

    • Entry-Level (Deluxe Suites): These journeys generally start at approximately $7,200 per suite, per night. For a typical 5-night Mediterranean voyage, you are looking at a starting point of roughly $38,500.

    • Mid-Tier (Premier & Signature Suites): For more expansive midship space, rates average between $11,000 and $15,000 per night. A 7-night itinerary in these categories often settles around $65,000 to $75,000.

    • The Flagship (The Aman Suite): For the 1,972-square-foot residence with a private lift and chef’s kitchen, the investment is between $25,000 and $30,000 per night.

A Note on Value: Unlike The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection or Orient Express, where the base fare is often all-inclusive of fine wines and spirits, Aman takes a more surgical approach. Your fare covers the sanctuary, the service, the laundry, and the food at Alira, but fine wines, specialty spirits, and the signature dining at Akari or the Aman Grill are billed separately. It’s for the client who knows exactly what they want and prefers not to subsidize the preferences of others.

  • The policy for Aman at Sea is designed with the same precision as the yacht itself. Because there are only 47 suites, the commitment is higher than what you might find with larger luxury lines.

    Payment Schedule

    • Deposit: A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your suite.

    • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 150 days prior to your sailing date.

    Cancellation Fees

If plans change, the following fees apply based on the timing of your cancellation:

    • 151+ days prior: A $1,000 Administrative Fee per suite.

    • 150 to 121 days: 15% of the total voyage fare.

    • 120 to 91 days: 25% of the total voyage fare.

    • 90 to 61 days: 50% of the total voyage fare.

    • 60 to 31 days: 75% of the total voyage fare.

    • 30 days or less: 100% of the total voyage fare.

Please keep in mind that these conditions are provided as a general guide to the current booking structure. Policies and fees are subject to change at the discretion of the cruise line; final terms will be confirmed at the time of your specific reservation.

  • For the client who finds a suite insufficient, the entire yacht is available for private takeover. A full charter transforms Amangati into a 180-meter private residence for 94 guests, where the itinerary, menus, and rhythm are entirely at your command. With a crew of over 200 dedicated to a single group, it is the ultimate expression of the Aman lifestyle—absolute seclusion, bespoke discovery, and the freedom to disappear into the horizon on your own terms.

  • Absolutely. Amangati features two dedicated helipads designed for the swift, discreet arrival of our guests. Whether you are flying in from a nearby airport or a private villa, your pilot can coordinate directly with the yacht’s bridge to secure a landing window. Please note that while we welcome private aircraft, operations are subject to local maritime laws and port regulations—some coastal zones have strict noise ordinances that may require us to be in international waters for your touch-down.

  • While the yacht doesn't house a permanent 'house bird,' Aman coordinates with an elite network of regional aviation partners to provide 'Aman-standard' transfers. From 20-minute hops across the Riviera to bespoke 'Airborne Adventures'—like flying directly from the deck to a remote vineyard for lunch—we handle the logistics so your transition from the clouds to the coast is fluid and unhurried.
